One actress, though, is not succumbing to the lure of the lucre. Priyanka Chopra.
Reportedly, PC swatted down an offer of Rs. 3 crore to shimmy and gyrate at a five star hotel for New Year 2010 eve nite ( as per insiders, the mentioned fee is double her fee for a single flick). What's better, she could have romped home happily with 3 crores for as little as three hours of work!
Close sources aver that Priyanka's reason for chucking the offer is that she's in no tearing hurry to tear down the 'diva' image that she has so painstakingly cultivated over the years.
States an insider, "A five star hotel in suburban Mumbai did come up with the Rs. 3 crore offer for New Year's eve, but Priyanka was very uncomfortable dancing in hotels in front of a live audience and she turned them down very politely. The fee was huge and the hotel officials kept coaxing her, but Priyanka was adamant that she would not accept the offer."
